Richard Steiff invented the teddy bear in 1902. Enriching the design year by year until 1905 when he created the “perfect” Teddy bear.

Made in grey with a soft, friendly face and innovative disc joints, a method so successful that it is still used today. This original 1905 grey bear lives in the Steiff Museum.
