Steiff Teddies for Tomorrow Bombax Elephant - 15 cm

Bombax is a modern interpretation of an historically important Steiff character. He has a joyous personality with a raised “S” shaped trunk, the symbol of good luck to all.

An elephant was the very first soft toy our founder Margarete made in 1880 and was chosen to represent the company logo in 1897, which Bombax proudly wears.

One of nature’s most wondrous animals, Bombax is delighted to join the "Teddies for tomorrow" range as part of a new series of iconic characters using alternative materials.

Bombax is an adorable elephant from Steiff's innovative range Teddies For Tomorrow, which highlights the use of sustainable and eco friendly manufacturing processes and materials. 

He is made from soft and textured grey plush fabric crafted from bamboo.

His stuffing has been produced from recycled PET plastic and his ears and feet are made from Violan (a herbal material made from fast growing renewable resources, sustainably procured and finished in Germany in environmentally friendly processes).
